Roscoff and Lizardieux behind us, our journey continued to Guernsey, our last stop before heading to England. By sailing, you go from one timezone to another.<\/p>\n

Guernsey is one of the islands that is Crown Dependent.
\n“They do not form part of either the United Kingdom or the British Overseas Territories. Internationally, the dependencies are considered “territories for which the United Kingdom is responsible”, rather than sovereign states.”
\nThey have a good relationship with both the EU and United Kingdom and is not affected by the Brexit.<\/p>\n

We had the whole day on Saturday. I went to spend the day with the kids so Chris & Matt could clean the boat. As like in England, they drive left and use pounds. We took the bus to a big park with also a newly build adventure park for kids, in the style of nature and pirates.<\/p>\n

We spend 4 hours in the Saumarez Park and then we headed back to the Victoria Marina. Me and Elle decided to look at some shops. When we walked into the shopping streets we ran into a parade. It was the Channel Islands gay pride. People were dressed up in rainbow colors and there were a lot of flags. Elle did a painting and me and Walker got a face paint of a rainbow.<\/p>\n

That evening, next to our marina, was a concert. A concert from the Guernsey Symphonic Orchestra. They played theme songs of Jurassic Park, 007 Bond and Harry Potter, but also West End and Danzon. A beautiful ending of a very nice and relaxed day.<\/p>\n
