England to France

The past week has been rough. From Dartmouth we crossed the English Channel to Roscoff, this took us longer than expected and we came into Roscoff in the night. Barely any visibility.

After a few days in Roscoff we went to Brest to pick up something. Starting with 20 knots it was fine sail weather, after 2 hours it got 42 knots, hard waves and winds. The waves took 2 panels of our transom and we almost lost our tender.

We came in Brest safe and all, but we had to replace our boat because one of our mooring lines almost broke and there was just too much waves. The highest wind measured was 56 knots!

Our plans to cross the Bay of Biscay have changed in just sailing along the coast. We have to stop back in La Rochelle, where we started, to fix everything on the boat.

The weather is unpredictable, but the most important thing is that everyone is safe and we all stay together.
