Quatorze Juillet. A national holiday in France.
The start of my adventure. I am excited to get out and see whatever this adventure got planned for me. I went from Rotterdam to Paris, and Paris to La Rochelle (with a delay).
The same evening, me and the family went out for dinner (I had Salmon and some mussels). After dinner we danced, played tag and jumped. We found a good spot for the fireworks. My little girl Elle got so excited we had to get closer. I sat somewhere with here, watching the fireworks. They were amazing, there were hearts, smileys, rainbow ones, it was a lot of fun.
The next day we went to the beach. The water was kinda cold, but me and Elle swam all the way to a big “X”. After a couple of hours we went to have dinner. Again I tried some mussels (curry) and a salad. Meanwhile, the World Championship was coming to an end. France won!! We aren’t in a big city so the celebrations were kinda quiet; people waving flags, hanging out of cars, honking the alarm. Pretty cool to watch.
The rest of the week we relaxed. On Monday we went to the Aquarium. It was interesting, but the kids go from one spot to another so we were dome after one and a half hour. The rest of the days we went to the playground, parks, played catch, made a lot of drawings and watched a lot of Peppa Pig.
Today the youngest, North, turned 1! Had a very chill day, went out for dinner where I first tried big whitelegged shrimp. They looked hideous.
Spend the rest of the kids energy running around at home.
The next week we have to go on a road trip, starting at Bordeaux and afterwards we are going to Spain.
Let’s go!
